Haradasakan
The Sacred Harmony of Tradition and Earth
Centered on the Daruma—Japan’s iconic symbol of perseverance and good fortune—this piece is finished with the refined artistry of traditional sakan plastering.
Hand-crafted using pure natural minerals sourced in Japan, including earthen soil, plaster, and natural volcanic ash. No artificial dyes are used; each rich hue is drawn entirely from the raw, organic pigments of the earth itself.
Through human hands, ancient volcanic elements and soil are bound into a modern sculpture. A refined fusion of spiritual heritage and natural texture, bringing timeless tranquility and good fortune to any space.
Jewelry tray
A jewelry tray crafted from solid plaster. It draws inspiration from the undulating texture created by a plasterer’s trowel. The undulating curves gently divide the space to accommodate precious jewelry, while the smooth contours make the pieces appear to float, making them easy to pick up.
Vase
A vase finished with glass and plaster on the same surface. It expresses the three essential elements for plants—earth, water, and light—in an abstract form within a single vessel.

Crafting Time: The Aesthetics of Heritage Since 1949
Harada Sakan is a collective of master artisans that has shaped Japan’s architectural beauty for over seven decades.
Using natural materials such as clay and lime plaster, our hand-applied finishes create one-of-a-kind works of art. The refined textures—shifting subtly with the changing light—bring an authentic sense of Japanese tranquility (Wabi-Sabi) and warmth to modern luxury spaces.
