Newton Bag

Established in 2007 by father and son Katsuyuki and Leo Yoshida. With a commitment to "Made in Japan" and the concept of "World-class standards," we pursue products that will be loved by the next generation and its grandchildren, while working on tradition, craftsmanship, and the antithesis of art culture.

Katsuyuki Yoshida: born in Tokyo in 1947. Over the years, he has been offering many famous bags to the world. In 1981, he was the first Japanese to be selected as a member of the New York Designers' Collective.

Leo Yoshida: Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1975. Studied with photographer Larry Sultan and Beat poet Michael McClure, and completed graduate studies at the San Francisco Art Institute in 2003. His book "Honokaa Boy" was made into a movie in 2009, which was shown on roadshows nationwide at Toho theaters.

Newton Bag

  • "Weight disappears". The straps disperse pressure based on ergonomics. We adopt "muatsu" by Showa Nishikawa.

  • Less fatigue. Even when carrying a lot of luggage, the body is less fatigued than with conventional bags.

  • Special materials. Cordura nylon, which is seven times stronger than ordinary nylon, is used.
