Carré MOJI Your memories of Tokyo - Ginza
Carré MOJI, a fusion of traditional Japanese calligraphy and modern design, transforms calligraphy into interior art. The name “Carré MOJI” is a coined term combining the French word “Carré” (meaning "cozy courtyard") with the Japanese word “Moji” (meaning "characters" or "letters"), embodying the concept of creating a "comfortable space with characters." Established in 2002, Carré MOJI was born from a desire to introduce the beauty of calligraphy to the world and share it as a new form of Japanese culture.
This spring, with the same unwavering passion to convey the charm of calligraphy to a global audience, Carré MOJI is embarking on a new chapter under a new brand name: Moji Gallery.
Moji Gallery features original frame designs that beautifully complement the artistry of selected calligraphers from across Japan—masters who combine exceptional calligraphy skills with a refined sense of design. Each piece is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in works that evoke vivid landscapes and emotional scenes in the hearts of viewers.
Through its creations, Moji Gallery aspires to enrich the lives of people worldwide, bringing beauty and inspiration to their living spaces through the timeless art of calligraphy.

Ginza is one of Tokyo's most prestigious commercial districts. The elegant and graceful streetscape, where “modern” and “traditional” buildings are in harmony, is expressed in expressive lines of calligraphy by calligrapher Chiba Kaon, who has a sensitivity cultivated as a painting artist in addition to her calligraphy skills.
