KUON
Founded in February 2016 and led by designer Shinichiro Ishibashi, KUON has been praised for the way they approach the subject of sustainability from the perspective of fashion, art, and materials.
KUON was honored with the Tokyo Fashion Award in 2018 and invited to show their collection as a form of runway at Shibuya Hikarie during Amazon Fashion Week TOKYO in 2018. KUON was also recognized at NHK WORLD “TOKYO FASHION EXPRESS,” and was the only Japanese brand represented at Isetan Shinjuku Men’s Hall with their Boro jacket.
In February of 2020 KUON showed their FW20/21 collection as a form of presentation in Manhattan during New York Fashion week and more recently their SS24 in 2023.
KUON’s signature Upcycled Boro Blazer was exhibited at Salvatore Ferragamo Museum in Florence from 2019 to 2021, and at OSTASIATISKA MUSEET in Stockholm from 2021 to 2022.
