Oriental Modern

"Oriental Modern" is a brand born in 1998 from the desire to "enjoy Japanese lifestyle in a functional way" in a timeless urban lifestyle.

Based on the Japanese style and materials that have been handed down since ancient times, the brand has traveled around the world to produce products.

It is a new Japan style that aims to produce items that will become a part of new traditions as a global style.

This kyusu has a mirror finish stainless steel that gives it a luxurious feel.

The mirror finish is carefully hand-polished, taking more than 8 hours per piece.

In a factory with a history of over 100 years, craftsmen carefully produce each piece by hand through dozens of processes.

Rust-resistant and safe to use. The handle is easy to hold and the small size allows women and people of all ages to pour easily with one hand.

A tea strainer is included in the set, which can be used for both large and small tea leaves.

The lid knob is designed to resemble a screw, making it non-slip and easy to pick up. It is a great gift for anyone.

It can be used not only for Japanese tea, but also for tea and coffee.

*We produce our products in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, a metalworking town famous for its stainless steel products.

Katsuichi Tomita (metalworking craftsman)

Born in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, a city of metalworking, he built a small press factory there. He created his own original stainless steel kyusu (teapot).

He passed away in 2012, but his lifelong fascination with Japanese craftsmanship and his soulful creations will live on forever.

Kazuya Endo

Born in Tokyo in 1959, Endo founded Blanche A.S.S. Ltd. in 1988, the predecessor of his current business. Later renamed Blanche Associe Inc., he has been active in private product development for local industries, consulting for large-scale exhibitions, theme events, and seminars.

The Oriental Modern kyusu is a product of collaboration between the late Katsuichi Tomita's will of craftsmanship and Endo's modern sense.
