MORPHO
This series uses red sea bream leather with a large, dynamic scale pattern and beautiful transparency. Ocean Leather is made by effectively utilizing fish skin, which was originally discarded as an unnecessary part, as leather. A sustainable material made from sea bream skin tanned with vegetable tannins and finished with aniline dye. (*Ocean Leather is a registered trademark of Koyo Freeze Co., Ltd.)
About odor To eliminate the fishy odor, fish leather removes the fat that causes the odor during processing. Since it is manufactured using a processing method similar to cowhide, it has a smell that is almost the same as regular leather products.
Established MORPHO in 1995.
Morpho is a butterfly that lives in the rainforests of Central and South America and is considered one of the most beautiful butterflies in the world. The Cypris butterfly is one of the most beautiful Morpho butterflies with its bright blue wings. It is a butterfly that stands alone in the natural world and reaches the pinnacle of beauty.
The reason we linked "Morpho" to our company name and "Cypris" to our company brand is because our company's basic philosophy is to "make products with intrinsic value that you can love for a lifetime." To constantly enhance our sense of beauty as creators, aim for the pinnacle of manufacturing, and continue to shine forever, just like the beauty of the Morpho butterfly, in various life scenes.
