ITO EN The sound of Mountain

Tea leaves carefully cultivated in the misty mountainous region of Tenryu, Shizuoka, are bottled using Ito En’s advanced technology to ensure long-lasting freshness. Upon opening the cap, the tea’s natural, invigorating aroma fills the air. The refreshing fragrance that lingers as you sip evokes the serene beauty of a tea plantation.

With its rich umami and perfectly balanced astringency, this tea offers a deep and refined taste experience. The label design is inspired by the breathtaking view of mountain ranges as seen from a tea plantation, capturing the moment when the fields are gently enveloped in morning mist.

Experience the exquisite harmony of premium tea leaves and Ito En’s craftsmanship in every sip.

Nestled quietly in the mountainous region upstream of the Tenryu River in Shizuoka Prefecture, Kaneta Otaen is dedicated to the philosophy that "high-quality tea comes from excellent tea gardens." With this belief, they cultivate their tea fields using a unique approach.

Stepping into the fields, one immediately notices the soft, cushion-like soil, distinct from other tea plantations. Harvested tea leaves are left on the ground and covered with straw, while organic fertilizers enrich the soil, creating nutrient-dense leaf mold.

Taking advantage of the region’s harsh climate—marked by significant temperature differences between day and night and morning mist—the tea plants grow naturally, absorbing the blessings of nature.

A tea field nurtured with such dedication produces only the finest tea leaves.
