Organic Atmosphere Art refers to “spatial art with organic qualities.”
Under the concept of Feel the Earth, everything that exists within a space—whether physical objects, people, or emotions—intertwines organically, resonating and coexisting. Kuwayama believes that a truly comfortable space is shaped by the relationships and balance among all these elements. Her work aims to create spaces where nature, its energy, and human presence are in harmony.
Her unique and genre-defying style has attracted attention from around the world. She is a contemporary artist and spatial designer, born in Osaka. She studied at Osaka University of Arts, where she majored in Style Design within the Crafts Department, and later completed advanced studies in Art and Crafts at the same university.
Driven by a desire to express a sense of unity between humans and nature, she continues to produce artwork that evokes this connection.

Artist Statement
“My work seeks to create a space where one can feel the very breath of the Earth.
Stepping into it is like entering nature itself—you can almost hear birds chirping and smell the scent of trees. The light changes with time, illuminating the movement of vibrant plants and flowing water. The materials I use offer a sense of warmth when touched, reminding us of our connection to the planet.
In these spaces, people can feel in tune with nature, experiencing both emotional and physical healing.
Through my creations, I hope to offer people a sense of awe and tranquility—spaces where the beauty of Earth and the sanctity of life can be felt through all five senses.”

Kuwayama’s Forest series is a mixed-media body of work inspired by the forests of Japan and the spiritual worldview they evoke. These pieces are created using acrylic paint and cotton threads on canvas.
The cotton threads used are produced by Asahi Spinning Co., Ltd., a Japanese company founded in 1883 that continues to provide high-quality cotton materials. Thanks to Asahi’s extensive knowledge and Kuwayama’s meticulous attention to materials, each work conveys a unique atmosphere and tactile presence.
