From the Lusso series—crafted with the luxurious fine yarn that defines Trenta Settanta, a blend of 30% silk and 70% cashmere renowned for its overwhelming comfort the moment you touch or wear it—we present two pieces: a zip-up cardigan and center-pleat trousers, both carefully knitted in a double structure for a refined thickness. From the Ottimoseries, finished in lightweight jersey knitting, comes a unisex stole. Indulge in the luxurious texture that combines both supple smoothness and exceptional softness, and enjoy the elevated beauty of materials that set these garments apart.

Founded in 1951 as Kondo Textile Co., Ltd., the company grew during Japan’s period of high economic growth and began knitwear production to meet increasing demand. Renamed Daiichi Knit Co., Ltd. in 1970, and later establishing its core group company Daiichi Knit Marketing Co., Ltd. in 1987, it has since specialized in high-gauge knitwear—most notably using the globally rare FF30G machines—achieving integrated production from raw material sourcing to final shipment. Its exquisite craftsmanship, blending the latest technology with artisanal skill, has earned high acclaim from luxury brands both in Japan and abroad. In 2020, the brand launched Trenta Settanta, led by Yoshimasa Hoshiba, as a knitwear label for adults.

Mitsuke City, located in central Niigata Prefecture, is a small town of 38,000 people. In winter, snowfall exceeds one meter, and traditional features such as shosetsu pipes (water pipes to melt snow on the roads) and gangi covered walkways for pedestrians remain part of daily life in this nature-rich and tranquil town.

From the late Edo period (Tenpō era), weaving spread as off-season work for farmers. With mechanization in the Meiji period, Mitsuke developed into a major center for cotton textiles. After World War II, residents who had learned meriyasu (knitwear) techniques in Tokyo brought them back, and together with the wave of high economic growth and clustering of textile-related industries, Mitsuke grew into one of Japan’s largest knitwear-producing regions. Even today, it boasts the highest production volume of men’s knitwear in Japan.
