PREEK

Akoya pearls cultivated in the seas of Japan are among the country’s most iconic gemstones. PREEK places Akoya baroque pearls at the heart of its designs, celebrating their organic forms and expressive individuality—distinct from the symmetry of perfectly round pearls.

Guided by the concept of exploring new possibilities for jewelry crafted in Japan, the collection incorporates natural stones carved using traditional Japanese gem-carving techniques alongside PREEK’s signature “Dip Coating,” a unique process using pure silver (SLV999). The archive designs are reinterpreted to create a special 13-piece collection produced exclusively for JMC.

GIONO Co., Ltd., founded in 1975, is a fine jewelry manufacturer based in Sendagaya, Tokyo. The company supports the production of high-quality jewelry through craftsmanship refined over many years, including the creation and repair of jewelry for both domestic and international brands.

The gem carving is undertaken by Takuma Studio Co., Ltd., a gemstone carving atelier based in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture. The studio inherits a lineage of craftsmanship established by its founder, who trained under a master crystal carver in 1955. Today, Takuma Studio continues to produce finely detailed stone carvings using traditional gemstone carving techniques. Through the combined expertise of these two companies, PREEK’s jewelry is brought to life.

GIONO Co., Ltd., based in Sendagaya, Tokyo, is a fine jewelry workshop specializing in the production of jewelry for both domestic and international brands. In this district—where diverse cultures and fashion intersect—the company continues to craft jewelry with meticulous precision.

Meanwhile, Kofu City in Yamanashi Prefecture has long been known for crystal and gemstone processing, and is home to much of Japan’s gemstone polishing and carving industry. Takuma Studio carries forward the gemstone carving traditions cultivated in this region, producing intricately carved natural stones.

The craftsmanship of these two places—Tokyo’s fine jewelry making and Kofu’s gemstone carving heritage—comes together to support the creation of PREEK’s jewelry.
