Kaya Hanasaki was born in Tokyo. In 2012, she completed her master's degree in the Department of Inter-Media Art, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. She is currently based primarily in Japan and various countries across Asia, engaging in cross-media artistic practices centered on performance art, including projects, workshops, installations, and video works. In 2017, she established the cultural space "Kusagoten" (草御殿) in Taipei, which she planned and operated until 2019. She presents her work through solo and group exhibitions both in Japan and abroad, and also participates in artist residencies in various locations, developing her practice internationally.

Kaya Hanasaki captures the social, political, and cultural influences she has experienced throughout her life, as well as the challenges of contemporary society, through her own unique perspective, and reflects them in her works and activities. Centered on performance art, she develops expressions that cross multiple media, including projects, workshops, installations, and video works. Through her activities and creative process, she explores the relationship between society and culture, employing a different mode of expression for each work while creating from multiple perspectives.

This series of prints, made using Neo Silkscreen, was created with a focus on five energies: "Love," "Peace," "Enlightenment," "Desire," and "Void."

Neo Silkscreen is a printmaking technique uniquely developed by 360°GRAPHICS. Built primarily on the screen printing method, it involves ongoing original research into the materials and techniques derived from each artist's and work's concept. It also actively incorporates inks, materials, and textures not traditionally used in printmaking, in pursuit of new forms of printmaking expression.
