Lightest and ultra-thin
The world’s lightest and ultra-thin material, "Tennyo no Hagoromo" (Angel’s Robe), is woven from threads that are about 1/5 the thickness of a human hair. The technology to weave these extremely fine and fragile threads was developed by Komatsu Matere after years of research. All processes, including weaving, dyeing, and sewing, are conducted entirely within Japan, with a special treatment to prevent fading and discoloration.
The "Grape shaped Pocket Square" is a specially processed version of Tennyo no Hagoromo, shaped like a cluster of grapes. It adds a light and elegant accent to the chest.
Founded in 1943 in Ishikawa Prefecture, Komatsu Matere is a chemical materials manufacturer that started with dyeing and now covers a wide range of business areas. These include fashion and sports apparel, medical supplies, construction materials, electrical materials, and advanced materials focused on environmentally friendly materials such as carbon fiber and ultra-foamed ceramic construction materials. Komatsu Matere also supplies materials to top brands overseas.
