What is Aji stone?
Aji stone is a granite quarried only in the northeastern region of Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. Its fine grain and exceptional density have made it one of the most coveted stones for both architectural and artistic use. With a hardness of Mohs 7 — equivalent to quartz — it resists wear and weathering while remaining responsive to precision finishing by skilled artisans.

A functional object with a grounded presence
Each door stop is individually selected and shaped to preserve the raw character of the stone. The natural form is left largely untouched; the base is polished for stability. At approximately 2 kg, the inherent weight of the stone holds doors firmly in place — without any fixings or fuss.

Crafted by seasoned stone artisans in Kagawa, each piece reflects the hand that made it. No two are alike.
