Solid Wood Mouse Pad — Bent Maple by STORIO, Niigata

01 Springlike palm rest that moves with the hand — wrist strain reduced
02 Stays dry in summer — wood surface that silicone cannot replicate
03 600,000 bends tested — the machine broke first

What Wood Does That Silicone Cannot
Most mouse pads are silicone — soft and static. This one is solid maple, bent into a palm rest using bent-wood technique. The key difference is spring: the wood flexes slightly under the weight of the wrist, then returns — a gentle, responsive resistance that silicone cannot replicate. The surface stays naturally dry even in summer, avoiding the tacky feel of synthetic pads during long working sessions.

Engineered for the Wrist
The angle and height of the palm rest are calculated precisely — not approximated. When the wrist rests on the pad, the hand stays in position naturally, allowing the cursor to move without unnecessary force or repositioning. An anti-slip pad is applied directly beneath the point where wrist weight falls, so the pad holds its position even during vigorous mouse movement.

300,000 Bends. Then 600,000. The Machine Broke First.
Durability testing confirmed no deterioration at 300,000 bends. At 600,000 bends, the testing machine failed before the mouse pad showed any sign of damage. The bentwood construction — a single piece of solid maple, shaped without joints — is stronger in flexion than it appears.
