A souvenir jacket with a delicate and beautiful geometric pattern quilted on it
This jacket, which features beautiful geometric patterns made with quilting, is the result of a collaboration between Japanese quilt artist Masako Wakayama and leading Japanese fashion brands" KANSAI YAMAMOTO" and "KORI-SHOW PROJECT".
It showcases advanced craftsmanship by incorporating various indigo-dyed fabrics throughout.
The souvenir jacket known as the "Sukajan" became popular after World War II when American soldiers stationed in Japan brought it back to their home country as a "souvenir from Japan."
Japanese quilt artist Masako Wakayama quilted the “Sukajan,” a uniquely Japanese hybrid jacket that resembles a baseball jacket and is embroidered with Japanese motifs.
The fabric, hand-stitched from Edo-period rags and high-quality Chita cotton, embodies a timeless beauty. The lining is 100% silk, ensuring comfortable wear.
