Elegant Japanese scent for your wardrobe

  • Room fragrance made with Japanese traditional handballs
  • Beautiful gradation of cotton yarn dyed with plants and trees
  • Natural fragrances formulated by a long-established company in Kyoto are used

In Japan, aristocratic women used to play with Temari, handmade handballs.

Although we do not see such a scene now, Sanuki Kagari Temari have used this traditional technique to create scented items that can be placed indoors.

Nine small Temaris made of cotton threads dyed with plants and trees are randomly arranged, and a little gold thread is used for the pattern. Each Temari has a different motif: flowers in full bloom, buds, leaves, and so on.

These Temaris have a core of high quality natural incense material along with rice husks, and the fragrance can usually be enjoyed for more than one year.

They can be placed in the entryway, in a room, or even in a closet to transfer the scent to your clothes. It is also recommended as a gift.

Only natural ingredients are used for the fragrance, which is specially blended by Yamadamatsu Kobokuten in Kyoto, in order to stick to the traditional Japanese fragrance.

To make Temari, a highly skilled traditional technique is required, as cotton thread must be wound around a core to form a true ball of the same size using only the senses of the hand.

The cotton threads are dyed with plants and trees, and each hand-stitched Temari is gently wrapped around the core, creating a kaleidoscope of beauty. Please enjoy them in your daily life.
