The NAOKO HATA CERAMICS rim plate features a chain motif. With a matte texture and stylish coloring that blends in with your dining table, it will elegantly enhance your everyday dishes.

Available in two sizes and a total of seven colors.

The S size (19.7 x 17 cm) can be used as a dessert plate or serving dish.

The L size (25.8 x 25 cm) is ideal for main dishes such as salads and pasta.

NAOKO HATA CERAMICS is created by Naoko Hata, a ceramic artist from Mie Prefecture. While the pieces are made using traditional techniques, the textures and colors created by her own carefully researched glaze formulations shine through.

For the "Chain dish", she created an original plaster mold, paying particular attention to the thickness of the chain design on the rim. It is made through the process of molding, drying, unglazing, glazing, and firing. 

Hata says that she researched glazes with particular attention to texture, "I use a matte texture so that the rim design shows up better when the light hits it."To give the plate a little more height and make it easier to use, the back side of the plate is retrofitted by hand.
