A landscape in stone, set in motion by scent
A scene that exists nowhere — brought into a room through flowers and fragrance.
KESHIKIFU — "landscape wind" — begins with a piece of volcanic pumice stone collected from Sakurajima, Kagoshima. Into its porous surface, colored dried flowers and preserved botanicals are planted one by one, building a scene: a hillside, a meadow, a terrain that has no name. The stone sits comfortably in two hands. The flowers hold their form for approximately one year.
The scent completes what the eye begins.
Each piece comes with a 5ml blend of essential oils, composed by a perfumer to match the mood of the landscape. A single drop on the stone is enough — the fragrance rises slowly, like a breeze moving through the scene in front of you. Six scent variants are available, each named for a type of wind and built from Japanese botanical ingredients: yuzu, hinoki, and rose in 色風 (Color Wind); shiso, plumeria, and linden in 彩風 (Blush Wind); shell ginger, kaffir lime leaf, and jasmine in 爽風 (Lush Wind); Iyokan citrus, iris, and marigold in 光風 (Light Wind); Japanese iris, water parsley, and galbanum in 静風 (Rainy Wind); magnolia, bergamot, and camphor in 愁風 (Ripe Wind).
The maker: Norihiko Kamei / AME
Kamei is a visual artist and ikebana master based in Kita-Kamakura. He graduated from Tokyo Zokei University Graduate School in 2007 and holds a teaching certification in the Sogetsu school of ikebana. His work has been exhibited in the Netherlands, France, and Germany. AME — his art product brand — is built on the idea of compressing natural landscapes into objects small enough to hold. KESHIKIFU adds a dimension his earlier works did not have: the landscape now has a smell.
Stone color, shape, and flower arrangement vary by piece and will differ from the product photographs. This is not a defect — it is how the work is made.

Care
Keep away from direct sunlight and high humidity. The flowers will naturally fade over time — display life is approximately one year from receipt. Apply essential oil drops directly onto the stone, not onto the flowers. Store the oil bottle upright in a cool, dry place away from heat sources. The essential oil vial is included in the shipped package in compliance with applicable international shipping regulations.
