One block of wood, no seams
Photo frame rounded is carved from a single block of solid wood rather than assembled from separate pieces, so there's no joint or seam anywhere on the frame. The soft, rounded edges are a natural result of that single-block construction, and they give the frame a quiet, unassuming presence — it holds a photo without competing with it.
Display it either way
The frame is built to stand equally well in portrait or landscape orientation, so you can set it up however the photo inside works best.
Different Hokkaido woods for different finishes
The Regular size in natural birch, and the Large size, are carved entirely from solid Hokkaido birch. The Regular size in Light Grey or Dark Grey uses Hokkaido ash for the frame body, with a birch base — a combination chosen so the tinted tones still read as wood rather than as a painted surface.
Fifty years of small-object woodwork in Asahikawa
Photo frame rounded is made by SASAKI, a wood-craft manufacturer founded in 1976 in Asahikawa, Hokkaido — a city long known as one of Japan's centers for furniture and wood-product making. SASAKI marked its 50th year in business in 2026. The company specializes in small wooden objects rather than large furniture, a category that calls for the fine handwork of an artisan alongside the precision needed to make many pieces consistently.
Designed by Tadahito Ishibashi
Photo frame rounded was designed by Tadahito Ishibashi, who went independent in 2005 after working as an in-house designer for a consumer electronics maker. His work has been recognized with multiple Japanese design awards, including the Good Design Award.

Care
Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth; avoid soaking the wood or using harsh cleaners. Keep out of direct sunlight for long periods, as it can gradually fade the wood tone. As a natural material, grain and color will vary slightly from piece to piece.
