Wristwatch · mechanical · designed by Takenobu Igarashi
A timepiece worn as an integral part of one's style, meant to be appreciated for its design as much as its function. SPQR is the flagship watch brand of Watch Planning Office Costante, established in Suwa, Nagano Prefecture in 2000 by Shinroku Shimizu — formerly involved in product planning at Suwa Seikosha (now Seiko Epson Corporation). Suwa has long been regarded as the Switzerland of the East, with a deep heritage in precision instrument manufacturing.
SPQR is defined by design that transcends trends, developed by a cross-disciplinary team of specialists. Each piece is produced in small quantities in Japan.
Earth Watch
A clean, composed watch with a single point of color: an earth-blue second hand representing the blue of the planet. Beneath the dial, an automatic mechanical movement with manual winding — and through the skeletonized case back, the balance wheel and hairspring are visible in motion. The case is ø37 mm, suited to all wrists. The dial is available in white or black.
The movement itself becomes part of what you wear — its precision on view with every glance at the time.
