Stingray leather is often called the "jewel of the sea" for its radiant surface. Unlike any other leather, it combines a distinctive glossy beauty with a firm, resilient texture. Said to be up to ten times stronger than cowhide, it is among the most durable leathers available — resistant to dirt, scratches, and moisture, and easy to maintain. Over time, its natural sheen only deepens.

The bead-like scales on its surface, known as denticles, are primarily composed of calcium phosphate — the same mineral found in human teeth. As the leather is gently polished through daily use and friction, its luster becomes even more pronounced.
