A collaboration between TOOT and Tadanori Yokoo, one of Japan's most celebrated artists and graphic designers.

Peach-skin nylon, comfortable all year round

The fabric is a nylon with a soft, fluffy touch like peach skin, gentle against the skin with a light fit. The gusset is switched to cotton to reduce stuffiness, so the pair stays comfortable through every season.

The panels are joined with a flatseamer — a four-needle sewing machine that demands delicate technique — giving the secure hold that TOOT fans love and an exceptional fit. A truly special pair of boxer briefs.

TOOT: men's underwear, rethought by an artist

These boxer briefs are made by TOOT, a Japanese men's underwear brand founded in 2000 by Taku Oishi. Oishi studied oil painting at Tokyo University of the Arts. Before starting TOOT in his thirties, he worked as an illustrator, taught at a vocational school, and handled visual merchandising for overseas fashion brands.

From its very first sample, TOOT has aimed to be a luxury house for men's underwear — one whose designs might be copied, but whose tailoring cannot. Underwear is an everyday essential, yet rarely something people choose for its quality. TOOT has always pursued exactly that: a quality made to last, priced above mass-produced underwear but lasting far longer. Above all, it values comfort and fit, with a sensuality that never loses its refinement — a settled, secure fit you notice the moment you put a pair on.

Precise construction, inside and out

Turn a pair of TOOT inside out and it looks almost the same as the outside. The seam allowances are cleanly finished, and even the inside is reinforced with bar tacks.

The three-dimensional front cup is the hallmark of every TOOT design. Its construction considers exactly where the top of the cup's curve should sit, and accounts for subtle differences in tension and hold from one area of the cup to the next. It holds gently and securely, without excess pressure, while minimizing slippage.

TOOT treats the fit around the hips as just as important as the front cup, with its own approach to cutting and sewing the back — which is why we recommend choosing your size by hip measurement. The leg openings, too, were developed through repeated prototypes with many different materials, so the elastic does not loosen quickly.

Every pair is made in Japan with a craftsman's care.
