F.F.G. — Fukuyama Factory Guild — is a collective of factories based in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, the largest center of denim production in Japan. The member factories also manufacture OEM denim for luxury foreign brands; F.F.G. brings that same standard of production to a price that reflects the scale of the collaboration.

Fabric and construction
The warp threads are woven with soft, elastic yarn for a comfortable fit that moves with the body. Yarn is spun using a "compact" technique — loosened by twisting, then held by air pressure — resulting in a fabric that resists pilling. The weave is tightened on traditional looms to achieve a structure that is firm yet soft against the skin.

Pure indigo color
F.F.G.'s denim is dyed in pure indigo, applied only to the surface of the yarn — the core remains white. As the owner wears the garment, that white core gradually emerges, producing an authentic fade that reflects actual use. The dyeing process uses electrolyzed water and minimizes cleaning chemicals to reduce environmental impact.

Vintage sewing machines
Each pair is sewn by skilled craftsmen on Union Special machines from 60 to 90 years ago — one process at a time. Vintage machines require a level of skill that modern equipment does not demand, and they produce a texture and character that modern technology cannot replicate.
