Keys, a watch, a ring — the things you reach for every morning and set down every night. This compact tray gives them a fixed address. At 5.7 × 5.7 in (145 × 145 mm), it fits a entryway shelf, a desk corner, or a bedside table without demanding attention. Stack two or line several side by side; the guitar-pick silhouette holds its shape in any arrangement.
Carved, not cut.
Each tray is carved from a single block of solid walnut or cherry. The process is slower than die-cutting, but it is what produces the subtle organic curve that runs through the form — the kind of shape a machine cannot replicate. Because the wood is unmodified, the grain and tone shift from piece to piece. The tray you receive will differ from the one in the photograph; that is part of what you are choosing.
Made by KOMA, a furniture atelier in Tokyo.
KOMA is led by Shigeki Matsuoka, recognized in 2020 as one of Japan's "Contemporary Master Craftsmen" — a national designation awarded to fewer than 150 artisans across all trades each year. The atelier is based in Ogikubo, Tokyo, and applies the same standards to a small tray as to a full dining table. The logic is simple: if the craft is worth doing, it is worth doing completely.

Care
Wipe with a dry or lightly dampened cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat sources, which may cause warping or discoloration. As with all solid wood, minor movement at joints may occur over time — this is a natural characteristic of the material, not a defect.
Note
Each piece is carved from natural wood. Grain pattern, color tone, and surface expression vary between individual pieces and will differ from the product photography. Slight variation in shape and dimension is inherent to the handcraft process. A 1-year warranty covers manufacturing and structural defects; damage from misuse, impact, or environmental factors is not included.
