Moisture, insect and oxidation resistance wooden box

Originally, a wooden box made of cedar has been used in Japan since around 1800 to store and transport fresh tea leaves. Corrugated iron is applied to the inside to prevent moisture and insects, enhancing functionality.

Because of its superior resistance to moisture, insects, and oxidation, it is an excellent case for storing not only tea but also a wide variety of other items. It is said to have a service life of over 100 years, and is recommended for those looking for a case that is not made of plastic.

Usage examples:

• Food such as rice (NORI-M can be used as a 5 kg rice container, 5K can be used as a 10 kg rice container), pasta, coffee beans, and pet food. Freshness can be kept for a long time.
• Storage of magazines, etc. that you want to keep as memories (the 20K size can store any kind of general magazines.)
• Documents, photos, cassette tapes and LPs. We also stock bedding such as clothes, sheets, pillowcases and pajamas. Prevents bug bites, mildew and fading.
• Children's toys and diaper bag. You can neatly store things that usually make a room untidy.
• Things you want close at hand in an emergency, such as disaster prevention goods and plastic water bottles. It looks great even on the porch.
• Washroom towels and toilet rolls. It protects contents from moisture and makes it easier to take out by placing it at your feet instead of on the shelf.

○Care Precautions

• Please note that the Japanese paper used in the box is pasted with a naturally-derived, environmentally friendly rice flour starch paste, so it is easy to peel off with water.
• Do not wet the outer wood as much as possible, and use a dry cloth or a tightly wrung cloth.
