Mataro Doll × Pokémon

Pikachu expressed through Edo Kimekomi — a traditional Japanese doll-making technique. The unique rounded form is shaped entirely by hand, with the yellow body dressed in a flower-patterned Japanese costume.

Kimekomi dolls originate from the Edo period, crafted by pressing fabric directly onto a body made from paulownia powder and Fu paste. Mataro Dolls, established in 1919, carries this living tradition into the present.
