Most children's furniture addresses the problem of sharp corners by attaching foam or rubber guards after the fact. KOMA takes a different approach: every edge of this table — the perimeter of the tabletop, the legs, the underside, every corner — is rounded by hand using woodworking tools. The safety is built into the object itself. Nothing is attached, nothing can come off. And because the rounding is part of the making, the table looks like a considered piece of furniture rather than a protected one.

Sized for a child on the floor
At 810 × 400 mm and 325 mm high, the proportions are calibrated for a child seated on the floor — the surface sits at the right height for drawing, eating, playing, or working with hands. It pairs naturally with KOMA's baby chair, which is designed for the same age range.

Walnut — the wood that gets better with time
Walnut is one of the world's most highly regarded furniture timbers — dense, impact-resistant, and naturally oiled in a way that makes the surface respond to handling over time. The color deepens gradually with use. Because the wood is natural, no two pieces share the same grain or tone. When the child no longer needs it as a play table, the quality of the walnut and the construction means it continues as an adult low table — the kind of piece that stays in a home rather than being replaced.
