A yosegi wooden pen that deepens with use
This ballpoint pen is made in yosegi, a Japanese woodworking style in which different woods are joined together to form pattern. Japanese woods such as keyaki (zelkova) and hinoki (cypress) sit alongside others from around the world, each bringing its own color, grain, and texture. Through fine, precise woodworking, the varied species come together as if they were a single designed pattern.
Each pen is carefully made by hand, and every one is one of a kind, different in both its woods and its design.

All five yosegi designs are one of a kind
The pen comes with its own wooden case that closes with a magnet, so it travels easily. Rather than a pen cup or a pencil case, this is a pen you will want to keep in its box and carry with care.
The wood grows deeper in tone the more it is used, so its character continues to change over time.

The wood grows richer with every use
Made by METAL FARM, a guitar workshop on Lake Biwa
The pen is made by METAL FARM, a guitar workshop on the shore of Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture. Its members are an unusual group — a former shrine carpenter, a dental technician, a scale-model builder, and a building materials designer — yet their handwork is first-rate. They have brought the precise skills of each of their former trades to instrument making, where guitars and basses demand exceptional woodworking.
This pen was born from a collaboration between METAL FARM and Go-One, a brand that partners with craftspeople of many kinds to create distinctive pieces. An everyday writing tool, it brings together serious technical skill and a sense of play.
