White Rose

Umbrella maker · Tokyo · Est. Edo Period

White Rose is a Tokyo umbrella maker founded in 1721, and the company that made the world's first transparent vinyl umbrella. Its canopies use a polyolefin multilayer film that stays clearer and more durable than the PVC of most vinyl umbrellas, while a patented valve structure lets trapped wind escape from the inside, preventing inversion in strong gusts without compromising waterproofing. Each umbrella is made to be kept rather than replaced.
